About us:

Concrete4Change (C4C) is a R&D company that is developing a ground-breaking technology to utilise and permanently mineralise CO2 in concrete.

C4C technology won a wide range of awards including the United Nations (UN) most innovative Net-Zero technology Climate Challenge Cup at COP26 in Glasgow, Royal Academy of Engineering and UN SDG. C4C is partly owned by two of the largest concrete manufacturers in the World (Siam Cement Group and Goldbeck GmBH). C4C is running several projects in partnership with the University of Nottingham, University of Sheffield & University of Warwick (total project value of £4 million for 2023-2024).

Job

You will be responsible for creating 3D graphics and animations that effectively communicate the technology and scientific processes behind C4C's products. Your designs will be used in various media, including websites, presentations, and marketing campaigns, helping to simplify complex concepts for a diverse audience. This is a part-time, zero-hour contract position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on diverse projects.

  • Develop 3D graphics, animations, and simulations to explain C4C’s carbon capture technology and processes.
  • Design interactive 3D models to illustrate the benefits of our technology in reducing CO2 emissions in the concrete industry.
  • Collaborate with the C4C team, including engineers and marketing professionals, to ensure accurate and visually appealing representations of technical processes.
  • Create digital visualizations for websites, social media, marketing campaigns, and investor presentations.
  • Maintain and iterate on visual assets as the technology and product evolve.
  • Essential:

    • 3D Modelling: Proficiency in 3D software such as Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or equivalent.
    • Animation: Experience with 3D animation techniques to create engaging and informative product demonstrations.
    • Texturing and Rendering: Ability to create high-quality, realistic textures and renders that effectively communicate material properties.
    • Graphic Design: Strong design skills, including composition, theory, and typography, applied to technical and scientific communication.
    • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing 3D product designs, animations, or simulations, preferably with a technical or industrial focus.
    • Creativity: Ability to transform complex, technical concepts into easy-to-understand visuals for non-expert audiences.

    Attention to Detail: Precision in creating accurate models that reflect the technical aspects of C4C’s technology.


    Desirable

    • Games Design: Experience in game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine, particularly for creating interactive visual experiences.
    • Video Editing: Knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro.
    • Virtual/Augmented Reality: Familiarity with VR/AR applications and how to integrate 3D designs into these environments.
    • Experience in Industrial/Environmental Sectors: Experience working on projects related to sustainability, construction, or environmental technologies.
    • Graphic Optimisation: Ability to optimize 3D graphics for various platforms, including web, mobile, and desktop applications.
    • Illustration: Traditional or digital illustration skills to complement 3D work.
