3D Manufacturing Technician

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionThis position is ideal for a Manufacturing Technician to join the Research and Development team as a pilot line 3D Manufacturing Technician. Partnering with manufacturing and engineering teams, you’ll provide comprehensive processing support of medical devices. You will utilize cutting-edge equipment to 3D print and post-process these devices. This position plays a crucial role in Align Technology's Research and Development pilot line thereby driving the success of new product initiatives.
Role expectations

  • Operate 3D Printing Equipment
  • Operate post process and test equipment
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems
  • Utilize solvents and resins for part manufacturing and machine cleaning 
  • Maintain records, follow work instructions, and all ensure safety standards are followed
  • Communicate job status and machine status
  • Perform quality inspections
  • Package complete jobs
  • Thrive in fast-paced environment and execute with a sense of urgency
  • Address issues with meticulous attention to detail


What we're looking for

  • Experience as a machine operator, technician, assembler, or similar role
  • PC experience in a work environment
  • Experience in a 3D printing
  • Experience in medical industry manufacturing
  • Experience working in a high performing team
  • High school diploma or equivalent, Engineering degree
  • 2 - 4 years of directly related experience
  • Swing shift M-F 11:30am to 8pm with occasional overtime to meet critical deadlines
