3D Piping Engineer

Functieomschrijving Your primary focus is to conduct studies and develop designs for piping systems and equipment for process installations, typically in collaboration with other disciplines. This involves utilizing P&ID (Process and Instrumentation Diagram) drawings to efficiently route piping using Autodesk Plant3D software, while considering factors such as maintenance, operability, ergonomics, and hygienic design. You configure the appropriate pipe specifications within your software environment, and coordinate with 3D modelers from other technical disciplines and the BIM (Building Information Modeling) coordinator to ensure seamless design integration. Your piping design adheres to national and international norms such as EN (European Norms), RToD (Rules for the Design and Construction of Transportable Pressure Equipment), and ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers). You also create classification lists in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive. Close collaboration with clients and colleagues from other disciplines is integral to your work, and in larger projects, you may also collaborate with engineering partners and teams from other branches of the RHDHV (Royal HaskoningDHV) organization. Functie-eisen Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Experience as a 3D Piping Engineer Proficient in piping and/or mechanical engineering  Familiarity with hygienic design standards (e.g. EHEDG) Understanding of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) Strong track record in using 3D modeling software, such as Autodesk Plant3D Knowledge of pipe stress rules and ability to apply them in design Affinity with applying pipe stress rules in design Strong skills in 3D modeling software, particularly Autodesk Plant3D.
