We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our produce facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of facility machinery and equipment while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in a food production environment, expertise in handling up to 480 volts and 3-phase motors, and strong skills in conveyor systems and stainless steel welding/fabrication. Additionally, you will support various facility maintenance tasks, including repairing racks, carts, desks, and offices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on facility machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Electrical Work: Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, including 480-volt systems and 3-phase motors.
• Conveyor Systems: Maintain and repair conveyor belts to optimize production flow.
• Welding & Fabrication: Utilize stainless steel welding and fabrication skills for machine and facility repairs.
• GMP Compliance: Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to maintain a sanitary and safe work environment.
• Facility Support: Assist with general maintenance of facility structures, such as racks, carts, desks, and office equipment.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance staff and departments to resolve mechanical issues efficiently.

Schedule & Training:

• Shift: 3rd shift (9:00 PM 5:30 AM), five days a week. Days off will be assigned by the manager.
• Training: A two-week training period on 1st shift (5:00 AM 1:45 PM) to familiarize yourself with the facility and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-5 years as a Maintenance Mechanic in a food production facility or a related industry.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in 480-volt systems and 3-phase motors.
  • Experience with conveyor maintenance and stainless steel welding/fabrication.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• GMP Knowledge: Understanding and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Safety-Conscious: Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
