Accessibility Installation Support Specialist

Employee will travel and service territory performing evaluations and installations of company products, such as modular aluminum wheelchair ramps, vertical lifts/elevators, stair lifts, grab bars and any additional accessibility and mobility equipment offered to customers. Prior experience with these products and American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements is not required.
This part-time position will initiate provide support to the team leader while gaining experience with our product offerings. After sufficient product knowledge is gained, the support specialist may work independently. Full-time employment may be possible pending performance and interest.
Personal accountability, trustworthiness and integrity are critical for this role. These traits will be discussed extensively during an interview.
Position Overview:
- Perform work at customer’s home or business according to schedule and scope
- Follow proper safety procedures for all product installations and services
- Maintain a clean workplace, either in the warehouse or at a customer’s site
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean and proper operating condition
- Safe keeping and proper use and care of all customer information and company property issued during employment, including tools, toolboxes, electronic devices, credit cards and any other productivity tools
- Utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills with all customers, staff, vendors, and corporate personnel
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Ability to use technology: tablet, smart phone, GPS, internet, company software
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical issues using troubleshooting guides, wiring diagrams, etc.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Conduct daily assignments with professionalism and care
- Physical strength, stamina, and dexterity to lift and move up to 100 lbs. and stoop, bend, and stand throughout the course of a workday in varying weather conditions at various construction sites with varying terrain
- Ability to pass drug screening, background check and have a clean motor vehicle report
