Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

My client is looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Level II to join on them on a 6 month contract. As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of manufacturing engineering within any given area of the business.



Role: Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Level II

Pay: £24.27 per hour PAYE

Location: Yeovil

Contract: 6 months

Hours: 37 hours per week Monday - Friday



MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Full BPSS* Screening (*Baseline Personnel Security Standard), including proof of Legal Right to Work, Criminal Records Check, i.e. UK DBS and Drugs Screening.



UK or NATO passport holders only.



Job Profile

* Develop and implement strategies to drive overall product and process improvements as well as product integrity on existing products.

* Support the Development and introduction of new products in line with client

* Drive & deliver any prototypes for process or design validation, as qualification hardware

* Get back to standard any defect issues in a prompt manner

* Lead and co-ordinate cell manufacturing activities between Product Engineers, Operations, ME and Quality and Manufacturing Assurance team.

* Plan, deploy, monitor and control site-level improvement initiatives to drive Productivity (and includes Machining programme writing and verification and fixturing design).

* Support customer and supplier communications to improve product quality and delivery.



Skills/Experience Required

* Technical expert for products manufactured & processes within their cell(s)

* Proven experience within the general application of engineering. This could be within mechanical/electrical/manufacturing

* Previous experience of participating, and actioning continuous improvement projects

* Experience of PFMEA is highly desirable

* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal



Education & Training

Essential - Manufacturing Engineering experience.

Relevant Degree
