Aftersales Data Analyst

Leveraging strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the Aftersales Data Analyst will gather, analyse and present data for use, primarily within the global Wireline & Flowline aftersales function. The role requires the application of tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualisation, including the use of business information tools, to assist the decision-making processes of our aftersales offerings across service, spares, rental, and training teams.  The successful candidate will have a desire to demonstrate a keen eye for detail and strong time management skills, ensuring that data supplied is accurate, complete and delivered in a timely manner.  The Aftersales Data Analyst will report directly to the Aftermarket Projects Manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mine and analyse large datasets, draw valid inferences and present them successfully to end users.
  • Monitor and audit data quality.
  • Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes.
  • Setup and maintain automated data processes.
  • Develop and support reporting processes.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content.
  • Gather, understand and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external audiences.
  • Design and carry out surveys and analyse survey data.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong numeracy skills (essential) 
  • Fluency in English (essential) 
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline( desirable) 

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a similar role (desirable) 
  • Previous experience in managing and implementing data systems (desirable)
  • Previous experience in the Energy industry (desirable) 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Computer literacy (including an excellent command of Microsoft Office products) – especially MS Excel (essential) 
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills (essential) 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (essential) 
  • The capacity to develop and document procedures and workflows (essential) 
  • The ability to carry out data quality control, validation and linkage (essential) 
  • The ability to produce clear graphical representations and data visualisations (essential) 
  • The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, gaining buy-in for projects and initiatives (essential) 
  • Ability to align system and data initiatives with business objectives (essential) 
  • Working knowledge of CRM and ERP systems (desirable) 
  • Familiarity of Microsoft SQL Studio (or equivalent) (desirable) 
  • An understanding of data protection issues (desirable) 
  • Experience in identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and service delivery (desirable)
