Position Summary:

The AI Architect and Senior AI Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the overall AI infrastructure and architecture for use at Vorys and by Vorys subsidiary companies, as well as designing, developing, and implementing advanced internal and external artificial intelligence solutions that drive innovation, generate revenue, and create operational efficiencies. Additionally, the AI Architect and Senior AI Engineer will enable innovation and the integration of AI across the firm by building custom components to be consumed by other technical and/or non-technical resources. At this time, candidates who would work in the following states will not be considered for this role: VT, RI, NY, NJ, NH, MI, ME, MA, DE, CO, CT, CA, and AZ.

Essential Functions:

• Perform AI Development/Engineering.
• Perform AI Solution Design.
• Develop AI Systems Architecture.
• Develop and deploy using Infrastructure as Code from development to production to support DevOps.
• Ensure AI Systems efficacy, performance, and cost monitoring. Perform and architecture, development, and enhancement to improve efficacy, performance, and maintain or decrease cost.
• Work with Stakeholders to assist in the analysis of complex business opportunities and help design solutions to meet the business need.
• Perform AI Component Design and Development.
• Collaborate with and mentor internal technical resources on the Software and Data Engineering team, as well as other Vorys IM teams where applicable.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and related fields, leverage innovative new technologies and approaches to enhance AI innovation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Deep Knowledge in AI/LLM/Agentic AI Architecture and Engineering
• AI development methodologies and tools, such as PromptFlow, Langchain, Pydantic/AI, pandas, tensorflow, sciket-learn, pyspark, etc., and/or equivalent commonly-used AI technologies
• Experience with common ai knowledge management and tuning techniques such as RAG, ML Deep Learning, Model Fine-Tuning, Knowledge Graphs
• Experience deploying enterprise-grade products using Azure DevOps and common IaC stacks such as Terraform
• At least 1 shipped/deployed enterprise-grade product using the above knowledge, skills, and abilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Desired:

• Experience working in an agile development environment (Scrum, XP, or equivalent)
• Advanced Machine Learning model and algorithm skills

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in related field or combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Master's degree in related field .
• AI-related certifications but not required.
• 5-7 years of experience in similar field
