AOI Lead Operator

Job description: Summit Anaheim currently has an open position for an AOI (2nd shift). Summit Interconnect is a manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards with a specific focus on complex rigid and rigid-flex product with unique expertise in RF/Microwave applications.
Under general supervision performs a variety of repetitive machine and manual operations in the areas of AOI verification and related circuit rework to ensure quality of circuit patterns on panels. Operate AOI and verification machines requiring moderate complex setups, constant monitoring, and close visual inspection of panels processed. May perform manual operations including precision circuit rework.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a minimum of
three (3) years’ experience in the printed circuit industry and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Responsibilities:
- To operate all AOI and supporting equipment.
- To evaluate and discontinue processing of non-conforming product and report it to the AOI Lead.
- To follow production control scheduling.
- To maximize productivity.
- Review all travelers.
Authorities:
- To generate a first article report when product does not conform to customer specification.
- To rework defect as needed per applicable specifications.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three (3) years experience in the printed circuit industry.
- Understanding of industry standards and appropriate application.
- Must be able to cooperate and communicate effectively with management/supervisory staff.
- Ability to effectively follow company systems and procedures.
- Must be able to work with little supervision.
