Apartment Maintenance Technician

Position Overview: The Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance and repair of residential apartment buildings. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving maintenance issues to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for .

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
• Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues reported by in a timely manner.
• Execute repairs and maintenance for appliances, fixtures, and equipment within the apartments and common areas.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance to ensure all systems are functioning properly and to prolong the lifespan of equipment.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly, including after-hours on-call support as needed.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, including inventory management for supplies and parts.
• Work closely with property management and other staff to coordinate maintenance schedules and address concerns.
• Provide excellent service to , addressing their maintenance requests and concerns professionally and courteously.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management. 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in maintenance-related fields is a plus.
• Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a residential or property management setting.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• Ability to climb ladders and perform work at heights.
• Comfortable working in various environmental conditions (heat, cold, etc.).

Working Conditions:

• Work may be performed in a variety of residential environments, including occupied and unoccupied units.
• On-call responsibilities may be required for emergency situations.
