Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Application Architect AWS Cloud position for our client in Denver, CO.

Location: Denver, CO
Duration: 6 months

Duties:

• Lead the design and implementation of AWS cloud-based applications, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Oversee technical product management, focusing on data science and engineering contexts.
• Guide and mentor development teams in best practices for cloud architecture and application development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define application requirements, architectural solutions, and technology roadmaps.
• Implement and enforce Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, to streamline development workflows.
• Facilitate paired programming practices to improve code quality and maintainability.
• Identify and remove impediments to team progress while fostering a culture of collaboration.
• Coordinate dependencies across multiple squads and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Skills:

• Expertise in AWS cloud services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and API Gateway.
• Strong technical background in data science, engineering, and application architecture.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum, and Kanban frameworks.
• Proficiency in managing cross-functional teams and aligning business goals with technical execution.
• Experience with paired programming and its impact on software quality.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive technical and business decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in technical product management, with a focus on data science or engineering.
• Proven track record of leading and mentoring teams in cloud application development.
• Hands-on experience in managing product development teams and implementing Agile practices.

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
