YOUR ROLE Provides technical engineering support for Henkel's electronic structural bonding and device assembly adhesives Primary responsibilities are technical leading on developmental and commercialized products by optimization of material application processes, and direct interaction with customers to troubleshoot and solve product and process related problems Solves technology-specific fundamental problems associated with entire product lines and/or product classes by novel approaches to application process development Works with and develops expertise in robotic dispensing of adhesives Uses CAD software to develop and design new fixtures Performs hands'-on evaluation of new equipment design Contributes to strategic and tactical planning. Identifies and drives new business development activitiesSupports R&D projects critical to business Generates test plans and/or experiments Prepare and deliver presentations on projects/technologies for internal teams, management and customersWork directly with Henkel customers to identify, qualify, close, and maintain Henkel product applications Design and implement programs to develop the technical data needed to support the use of Henkel Product technology Provides technical training to Henkel staff and customers Identify new opportunities for product development and work with development project teams to bring these opportunities to market Travel with sales representatives to develop first-hand understanding of customer needs and application details YOUR SKILLS B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or Material Science 3 to 7 years of demonstrated related experience, preferably in an adhesive environmentExperience with troubleshooting robotic dispensing equipment preferred Experience with creating and fabricating test fixtures, molds and testing equipment Experience with SolidWorks, Autodesk or related CAD software Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills Proven leadership, sense of urgency, self-starter - takes the initiative Customer support experience (providing product application training) Demonstrated project management and laboratory skills Training/mentoring lab employees Presenting results to technical and non-technical stakeholders/customers Statistical analysis using JMP Potential for up to 30% overnight travel per year The salary for this role is $85,000.00 - 95,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Connecticut. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
