Application Engineer

Direct responsibility for the delivery of projects that generate new products and/or processes which are of commercial value to JM, or responsible for the provision of support in key technology areas. Works independently and takes ownership within engineering programmes, leading on specific issues and projects.Job purposeDirect responsibility for the delivery of projects that generate new products and/or processes which are of commercial value to JM, or responsible for the provision of support in key technology areas. Works independently and takes ownership within engineering programmes, leading on specific issues and projects.Principal AccountabilitiesTo meet customers’ needs by providing essential technical support. This includes customer training, the introduction of new technologies, supporting customer audits and troubleshooting, etc.Collaborate with other functions to offer competitive proposals for new and cost reduction projects to ensure that JM is in the forefront of technology.Proactively identify and develop new opportunities to increase JM’s market share. Preserve and strengthen positive customer interactions especially with the technical departments. Visit customers on a regular basis. To guarantee the success of project SOPs, such as NPI, Unify, and PQTR, adhere to JM's internal and IATF procedures. Communicate internally within JM to better allocate the required resources and support. Create test programs and deliver comprehensive test results. Follow the environmental, health, and safety management policies of the organization.QualificationsBachelor degree with Chemical engineering or automotiveFully conversant in MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Experience working with ATS, automotive or chemical industry.Experience working in a busy office environment.Experience of working in fast paced, changing environmentHigh levels of attention to detail.Proactive and able to work on own initiative.Ability to prioritise and work to challenging deadlines.Solutions orientated with the ability to overcome obstacles whilst maintaining a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
