The person will focus on advanced application solutions within the Energy, Power Generation, Oil and Gas industry. The role includes supporting development of technical channel partners and distributors within these targeted market segments. Responsibilities include understanding customer needs and translating into innovative product solutions, meeting application performance and cost in-use requirements, and collaborating with R&D to develop new products to meet current and future needs. The person will work at the DuPont® MOLYKOTE® Specialty Lubricants technology center located in Wiesbaden Germany. The role includes developing OEM specifications at targeted industrial customers primarily in Europe with secondary support extending into the Middle East region. The candidate must be motivated to deliver positive results for the company, ability to work on multiple priorities in parallel, and ability to apply critical thinking through the scientific method to address issues and challenges, having direct customer and business impact. Travel is expected at 25%. Education/Certification and Job Requirements:Minimum B.S. (Master’s degree or PhD level a plus).Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or relevant science degree required.Six Sigma training, statistics competence or certifications are a positive.Qualifications:Candidate with a minimum 3 years of related experience. Demonstrated competence with materials and/or mechanical systems, lubricating materials and basic tribology knowledge is a plus.Elevated level of integrity, thoroughness, creativity, flexibility, initiative, and productive collaborative teamwork is necessary.Excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal communication skills are necessary.Job Requirements:Collaborate directly with end customer engineering or maintenance professionals to identify application needs and translate into test design and product solutions. Collaborate directly with local technical channel partners to develop product and application knowledge and support high potential opportunities.Exploration of targeted industrial customers in Europe based on product launches and business strategies.Collaborate with business development and applications engineers working in the Middle East region. Works directly with engineering and R&D team to develop customer-based solutions with existing portfolio and to develop new products to meet the future demands of the industry.Participating in global Industrial aligned teams to share and transfer application and product successes in prioritized segments.Lead or participate as a core member of an engineering or product commercialization team. Design experiments and use scientific methods to validate application, quality, or new product solutions. Includes learning and understanding various industry standards, and test methods.Explore unique properties of low friction coatings, and advanced lubricants creating value-added, differentiated customer solutions. Travel at 25%Role Competencies:Must be results oriented and a self-starter.
