In this role, you will realize the functional concept of solutions in a project by providing technical detailed solutions. You will provide technical support to both external and internal stakeholders, including design work, associated CAD-generated drawings, and technical documents as required by the company. How You'll Make an Impact Design and engineer solutions down to detail to satisfy specified customer requirements Define the products, components, and systems to be used and their concrete characteristics Configure components and systems of the solution according to requirements Develop detailed solutions for integration to ensure the interaction of individual elements as a functioning unit Responsible for realizing the solution with the required functionality, preparing design documentation Ensure adherence to Section 3 of the Group HSE Manual on a daily basis for self and team Support internal and external stakeholders with technical inquiries for legacy and current Controls and Instrumentation products Assist Customer Support with new product costing and compiling bid packages Represent the company in technical meetings, exhibitions, etc. Provide desk engineering support at customer premises, in the UK or abroad Review and create compliance matrices against operator/customer specifications Provide technical support for Production, Purchasing, Test department, and fault/return investigations team Produce CAD-generated connector assembly and harness drawings Produce detailed designs, drawings, schematics, parts lists, calculations, and reports to support designs Define and compile assembly procedures, tooling, installation procedures, maintenance procedures, test procedures, test reports, technical data sheets, and procurement specifications Check drawings, documents, and calculations generated by other members of the Operations Engineering team What You Bring Sound engineering knowledge with a minimum of an HNC qualification (or relevant engineering experience), with a mechanical bias Knowledge of CAD systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office Demonstrate quality awareness Ability to conduct external presentations and answer appropriately leveled questions Knowledge of product testing would be an advantage Design for manufacture experience is optional HNC qualification or relevant engineering experience Knowledge of CAD systems Working knowledge of Q Pulse (optional) Company Overview We are Siemens Energy – a global leader in energy technology.
