£70,000 - £90,000 + bonus + benefits
A leading European Commodities Trading firm have a newly created job opportunity for an experienced Application Support Analyst to join their London office in playing a pivotal role in the firm’s UK growth.
This new full-time, permanent position will see the successful candidate working on different business systems critical for the trading life cycle.
This excellent opportunity would suit a skilled application support professional with 5+ years’ experience within a busy Front Office environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Combination of support, release management and DevOps.
- Perform Start of the day checks for all critical systems and take corrective action.
- Communicate with clients/vendors as required: inform/chase for incident progress, notify them of impending changes or agreed outages
- Understanding, monitoring and releasing of internal applications.
- Create users and grant necessary access to different applications using central system.
- Take appropriate actions to ensure that time-critical batch steps run.
- Improve the day to day process to automate as much manual work as possible.
- Collaborate with development team to automate repeated manual tasks.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience within similar role in a Front Office FS environment
- Power BI experience
- Demonstrable trading / commodity markets business knowledge
- Strong SQL skills
- Programming language skills are advantageous (Java, Python, C#, C, etc.)
- ITIL standards knowledge is a bonus
- Visualisation/ analytics tools knowledge (grafana, splunk, kibana, etc.) is advantageous
- DevOps knowledge is essential
- Demonstrable E2E support life cycle experience (escalations, reporting, resolutions)
