The Siemens EDA Global Support team is seeking a dynamic support manager for the Xpedition Enterprise and HyperLynx tool suites. Building on EDA experience and PCB design skills, this individual will manage a team that works directly with internal and external customers to resolve tool issues. They will also partner with account teams to grow product usage and strategize on campaign approaches.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following activities:
- Manage a diverse team of Support Engineers based throughout Europe.
- Identify trends in the customer base and overall market to help assess product performance and acceptance in the market.
- Apply analytics to summarize group accomplishments and challenges in periodic reports.
- Interface with customers and Electronic Board Systems engineering and provide feedback in both directions.
- Regularly participate in meetings and conference calls with customers, both internal and external.
- Work as part of the sales team to develop solutions for customer issues and take an active role to communicate these solutions to the customer.
- Provide pro-active customer feedback into product marketing and engineering to drive improvement and future evolution of the product line.
- Actively participate in marketing and sales activities such as, workshops, seminars, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Broad knowledge in electrical system design.
- Understanding of PCB design tools such as Xpedition Enterprise, Cadence Allegro, Altium or similar.
- Understanding of PCB analysis tools such as HyperLynx, Sigrity, Ansys or similar.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently but collaboratively and to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving product and technical environment.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of professional support engineers.
- Ability to build strong rapport and credibility with customers’ organizations while maintaining an internal network of contacts.
- Manage multiple tasks and customer issues concurrently.
- Strong technical communication skills and presentation skills.
- BSEE or BSME, 10+ years of electrical system design experience desired.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong project management and communication skills – both written and verbal. Prior project management experience a plus
- Prior role in team leadership
- Proficiency in other languages common in the EU
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Role will be hybrid with some flexibility in location.
- Will support discussions in various time zones, so virtual meetings outside of home time zone will sometimes be necessary.
