We are currently HIRING experienced Apprentice Electricians with ratings for E3 to E5 for our San Antonio, TX division . As Apprentice Electrician you will work under the guidance of a Journeyman level electrician assisting in the installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of electrical systems on commercial work sites.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Apprentice License: MUST have an Active Texas Apprentice License, through TDLR.
- Licenses/ID: Current Driver’s License and/or State ID.
- Education: High School Graduate, GED or equivalent is .
- Experience: Requires at least 1 year of experience in the E2 classification.
- Tools: MUST have basic hand tools of the trade.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Helps in securing, relocating and organizing materials, small tools, and equipment from and back to appropriate storage areas.
- Keeps work area clean by collecting and disposing of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
- Keeps materials and tools clean and organized in an orderly fashion.
- Assists in pulling wire, lifting, hoisting and positioning materials.
- May operate less complicated hand tools and equipment under direct supervision of a Foreman or more senior electrician.
- Digs trenches by use of hand tools.
- Assists in mounting and strapping.
- May assist more senior personnel in less complicated electrical installations under close supervision.
- Performs other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor.
- Meets attendance standards and complies with late/absence notification procedures.
- DOES NOT WORK ON ENERGIZED CIRCUITS OR EQUIPMENT.
MINUIMUM SKILLS PER RATING:
E3 – Possess skills of lower E Rating Job Title (E 2, E 1)
- Perform 3 Point Saddle, & Back-to-Back conduit bends with hand benders.
- Terminate junction boxes.
- Install conduit Branch.
- Install conduit Feeder.
- Fixture connections
- Underground rough in materials
- Underground rough in methods
- Comprehends reading and drawing prints and schematics of same.
- Operate and mechanical personnel lifts (electric or gas powered).
E4 – Possess skills of lower E Rating Job Title (E 3, E 2, E 1)
- Perform 4 Point Saddle, & Kick conduit bends with hand benders.
- Basic blueprint knowledge
- Layout from field sketches
- Panel terminations
- Size conduit and boxes
- Underground layout and rough in
E5 – Possess skills of lower E Rating Job Title (E 4, E 3, E 2, E 1)
- Layout work and preps materials for installations
- Troubleshoots and resolves problems in electrical circuits, systems and equipment.
- Performs underground layout and rough-in
- Determines wire and conduit sizing.
- Install buss feeders.
- Performs switchgear installation and terminations.

- This job operates in a client project environment with exposure to employee, subcontractors and trades.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment.
- Ability to comprehend forms in space and understand relationships of plane and solid objects. May be used in such tasks as blueprint reading and in solving geometry problems. Frequently described as the ability to “visualize” objects of two and three dimensions, or to think visually of geometric forms.
- Ability to manipulate materials and/or equipment up to 50 lbs. The frequency of manipulation if frequently.
- Ability to move up or mount by using the hands or feet to include:
- Ladders - Step stool, 8' to 10' ladder, extension ladder
- Stairways - 3 or more flights
- To bend forward or down from the middle of the waist or the middle of the back, to bend, downwards, to lower oneself and/or to move freely on hands and knees between 20-50 times daily.
- To stretch out, extend, or put forth a bodily part. To touch or grasp something, by extending or stretching. To touch, lift, hold or operate with the hands up to 50 times daily.
- To perceive or comprehend by the sense of sight.
- Characteristics are Focus, perception or depth perception.
- The ability to operate or convey in a vehicle, car, commercial vehicle.
