Grus Construction Personnel is hiring experienced Structural Welders for a shop position in the Springfield, MA area! Work in a controlled environment with steady hours and competitive pay.
Job Responsibilities:
✔️ MIG weld on structural steel for decking, handrails, and stairs
✔️ Read and interpret shop drawings to complete welds accurately
✔️ Operate or learn to run a CNC machine and painting machine as needed
✔️ Perform all work inside the shop—no fieldwork required
✔️ Follow all safety protocols and shop regulations
Requirements:
✅ Structural MIG welding experience
✅ Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
✅ Must have all basic hand tools, welding hood, and gloves
✅ Ability to pass a drug test and background check if required
✅ Reliable transportation to the shop
Compensation & Job Details:
Pay Rate: Up to $31/hr (based on experience)
⏳ Hours: Full-time position
Duration: 5+ months
Per Diem: Not available—local candidates
