The Aquarium Service Technician (AST) will be responsible for all aspects of care for Freshwater and Saltwater aquarium systems ranging from 20 - 4000 gallons. These systems are some of the most impressive examples of commercial and residential aquariums in the midwest, and we are looking for experienced individuals to care for them.

The Aquarium Service Technician (AST) will be responsible for the ongoing care and maintenance of Aquarium Artisans client aquarium systems as deemed by the Aquarium Services Manager. The AST will be responsible for all cleaning, maintenance, animal husbandry, and all other required measures to maintain a healthy and beautiful aquarium for our clients. The AST will also be responsible for maintaining records for each individual client service account including aquarium service reports, water chemistry logs, and billing reports in accordance with the standards set forth by the aquarium services manager. The AST will be responsible for maintaining the company service vehicle in clean presentable condition and ready for service. The AST will report directly to the Aquarium Services Manager on all matters related to aquarium maintenance service. Attention to customer service and satisfaction is paramount in the performance of all job duties and responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain aquariums, including water changes, gravel vacuuming, and glass cleaning
- Test water quality and adjust chemical levels as needed
- Troubleshoot and diagnose aquarium problems
- Install and maintain aquarium equipment such as filters, pumps, and heaters
- Handle and transport live fish and other aquatic animal
- Interact with clients to address questions and concerns regarding their aquariums
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of all work performed
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Professional in your appearance, demeanor, and attitude
- Excellent communication skills and organization
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Criminal background check
- Aquarium knowledge and service experience are huge bonus but not required.
- Must be punctual, responsible, and reliable
- Proficiency with plumbing, electrical, and light construction
- Knowledge of aquarium equipment, water chemistry, and fish and aquatic animal care
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Must be over the of 21 with a valid Ohio State Drivers License
- Good driving record
- Basic computer skills
- Spanish is a plus
- Willing to learn (on job training provided)
- Ability to lift more than 50 pounds
- Ability to be able to creatively troubleshoot problems in the field

Schedule:

License/Certification:
