We are working with a multinational manufacturing company synonymous with high performance heavyside building products recruiting for an Area Technical Sales Manager to cover the Midlands.
The patch is Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, West Midlands, Warwickshire and Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and achieving progressive sales targets, and for promoting the products, technical services, and professional image of the brand.
You will be an integral member of a close knit team, within a company that is committed to developing employees and offering great career prospects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Managing and increasing the territory customer base to successfully achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
* Providing the highest standard of technical advice to a diverse range of clients including blue chips, and SME’s.
* Ensuring leads, quotes, and all sample requests are followed up.
* Collaborating with colleagues to ensure customer expectations are delivered.
* Proactively working with customers to deliver solutions that improve their business operations.
* Providing regular updates on activities completed, opportunities identified, and business secured.
* Reporting on competitor activities.
* Overseeing site trials and carrying out ongoing customer site assessments.
To apply you should have a proven track record of field sales success within the building products industry.
Any knowledge of ready mix, precast, screeds, concrete, cement, aggregates or mortars would be an advantage but is not essential.
Either you will looking to move from commodity sales into technical sales or already in technical sales but looking to join a great brand who have product evolution and responsible manufacturing at the forefront of their output.
Applicants should have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of decision-makers and be enthusiastic with strong organisational skills
UK travel may be necessary for trade shows and industry events therefore the role may require an occasional overnight stay.
On offer is a salary of £45,000 to £55,000 plus bonus, hybrid Audi car or similar, 23 days plus bank holidays, pension and private healthcare
