Job Description:

Scope/Purpose of the Position

The purpose of this position is to ensure the efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement of the site’s maintenance operations through the use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This role encompasses technical documentation, scheduling and planning of preventive and curative maintenance tasks, and supporting reliability and operational efficiency across all departments. This role plays a key role in maintaining equipment availability, compliance, and data accuracy, contributing to the overall performance and safety of the plant.


Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Primary Duties:

- Write and maintain up-to-date technical maintenance files and procedures for all equipment.

- Prepare and plan preventive and curative maintenance operations in the CMMS.

- Define intervention procedures and ensure resource planning for maintenance tasks.

- Track maintenance costs and equipment performance at both line and site level.

- Ensure spare parts availability and codification in the CMMS


Secondary Duties:

- Support fault diagnosis and recommissioning of equipment. • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts including TPM organization.


Collaboration:

- Work with production, engineering, and purchasing departments to ensure proper maintenance planning and documentation. • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders on equipment status, maintenance costs, and technical documentation.

Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to industry safety standards, company maintenance protocols, and regulatory inspection requirements. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have direct reports but will coordinate with maintenance technicians and external contractors as needed.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

Skills:

- Strong understanding of industrial maintenance processes

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS platforms

- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagrams

- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills


Qualifications

Education:

- Associate degree (or higher) in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

- 3+ years in a maintenance coordination or CMMS-related role

- Experience with CMMS software, maintenance planning, and documentation

Additional:

- Additional training, certification, or coursework in maintenance management, reliability, or related fields

- Familiarity with industry maintenance methodologies and continuous improvement practices

- Experience using CMMS platforms and analyzing maintenance data for performance insights


Physical Requirements

- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb (including stairs/ladders).

- Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

- Physical dexterity necessary to handle supplies, machine parts and tools.

- Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment

- The role is based on the production floor, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and noise levels.

- Work involves standing for extended periods and frequent movement, including walking and bending.

- Employees may handle or be in proximity to food ingredients, including allergens (e.g., wheat, dairy).

- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times, including hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), gloves, and safety shoes.

- The environment requires adherence to strict sanitation and safety standards.
