Assistant General Manager, Cybersecurity, Administration and Operations

Job Responsibilities/Requirements: M1 is undergoing a Digital Transformation and we are looking for an experienced leader to join us in this exciting journey. You will have the overall responsibility to lead the newly established Cybersecurity Operation and Administration unit of the organization. This role is expected to set transformational goals for the team and not only be contended with minor incremental improvements. You should also appreciate security and technology trends and be strategizing to support M1 business.The ideal candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's data and infrastructure, and reputation while leading a talented team of security professionals. You should be a seasoned Cybersecurity expert with In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and industry standards. You will lead the team to manage the SOC and Incident Response function in CISO. You will be responsible in leading the team to design, implement and administer all layers of security tools and assets across cloud and on-premise infrastructures. You will need to establish / optimize security infrastructure design and enhance existing processes to meet business goals. An importance aspect of this role is the ability to work across vendors and partners in ensuring a high level of security posture within the organization. You will drive proactive cybersecurity measures to ensure threats are timely captured and mitigated. This role is pivotal in safeguarding our systems, data, and infrastructure in a regulated environment, specifically in the telecommunications industry, where compliance with regulatory bodies such as IMDA is critical.You must be passionate about changes and is a servant leader who is able to motivate his/her team. The successful candidate will drive changes, lead both internal and vendors/partners to achieve target outcome. He/she will act as a mentor to his/her team and coach them in their career development. You will need to work closely across multiple teams from all departments, establish trust and collaborate with partners and vendors.This position reports to the Head, CISO and is part of M1 CISO Office.Job Requirements - Essential Skills Proactive and Outcome drivenAbility to identify opportunities to transform and drive changes to realize Security Operation’s vision of AIOps (simplify, automate, self-service)Develop, manage, and consult on the security infrastructure and architecture, and strategies for enterprise cybersecurity controls, and compliance impactsManage and perform analysis on ongoing security testing (penetration and vulnerability testing) of applications, systems, data and networksWork closely with internal users and partners to proactively manage all security infrastructure / network and cybersecurity topics (such as Vulnerability Management and SOC)Coaches and develops team for top performanceTechnical background in Cybersecurity across Public / Private Cloud, PaSS, SaSS, BC / DR, Virtualization, Network and End User Security toolsKnowledge in technology platform (e.g. Cloud, Operating Systems, Application Software, Middleware, Databases).CISSP certification is required.Proven experience in managing security operations in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Experience in the telecommunications (telco) or Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) sectors is a plus.Experience in managing hybrid organizations with remote outsourcing vendors is preferred.Minimum 10+ years of technical experiences in Cybersecurity / Infrastructure / NetworkDegree in Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent) #LI-NS1
