Assistant Manager, Logistics Planning

Position Summary

Purpose of the job:

The successful applicant is responsible for ensuring stability and optimizing Logistics branch performance in terms of Cost and Operations.

Key Objectives:

* Implementation of Cost Saving initiatives in MENA region.
* Stabilizing and Optimizing 3PL Performance in terms of Operation and Cost
* Support Initiatives for improving E-store Logistics services.
* Accelerating Process Innovation for all MENA Branches under Data Analysis

Role and Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide optimal logistics services to meet companies' logistics requirements, securing of infrastructure, and management of logistics operations.
  • Monitor logistics company’s overall performance including import customs clearance, delivery, storage and logistics costs, and achieve goals by logistics indicator.
  • Secure and apply continuous process innovation and system to ensure the logistics competitiveness.
  • Logistics KPI (Key Performance Indication) management. Prepare improving logistics partner's execution capability such as task operation, organization and process from the customer, financial and HR perspectives.
  • [Driving innovation project] Identify new services to secure logistics competitiveness, develop and apply efficiency of the existing processes and related solutions.
  • Implementation of logistics cost saving projects and monitor performance and how to improve
  • Innovation task simulation through data analysis
  • Partly monitor E-store performance for LMD evaluation
  • Improve and support initiatives for improving E-Store logistics services.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports.
  • Undertake any adhoc projects, initiatives, tasks as directed by the management.
  • Skills and Qualifications

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years' of related experience in Logistics.
  • Strong Warehouse experience – ability to manage Logistics KPI’s.
  • Previous experience handling logistics for Ecommerce.
  • The candidate shall be presentable and possess a professional attitude
  • Excellent skills in MS Office Applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of International Trade, Import Operations and UAE Customs Laws
  • Strong quantitative background with an excellent understanding of the issues and processes required to deliver high quality results.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time, as required.
