About the Advanced Materials and Biomanufacturing Joint Cluster
The Advanced Materials and Biomanufacturing Joint Cluster sits at the nexus of the Biomedical Research Council (BMRC) and the Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC) of A*STAR.
The cluster oversees and drives initiatives in the following domains:
Advanced materials discovery and development
Synthetic Biology
Cell and gene therapy
Biomanufacturing for different drug modalities such as small molecules, biologics, cell, and gene therapy such as nucleic acid therapeutics.
About the job
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong passion for science to be part of our team. The individual will join us in contributing towards the strengthening of Singapore's R&D capabilities and innovation to build a vibrant biomanufacturing ecosystem for Singapore.
The role responsibilities include, but is not limited, to the following:
Engaging in technology foresighting, roadmapping exercises and evaluation of new R&D programmes and projects to ensure alignment with A*STAR's and national priorities;
Engaging and managing stakeholders from public agencies, private sector (e.g., local small medium enterprises, startups, leading multinational companies) and academic institutions (e.g., institutes of higher learning) to form or facilitate strategic collaborations;
Co-developing research proposals with scientists, monitoring and providing oversight on the progress of ongoing programmes;
Executing key initiatives led by the Biomedical Research Council and/ or the Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC).
Job Requirements
At least 2 years' working experience in a science-based role;
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in a related technical/engineering discipline, with passion for emerging trends, future industries and technologies in biomanufacturing R&D;
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
Result-oriented and resourceful, with problem solving and analytical skills;
Values integrity, teamwork, and excellence.
