GENERAL PURPOSE

Directly supervise group leaders, team leaders, and team members. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include supporting the operations manager, supporting and managing operational needs, training/coaching employees, planning, assigning and directing work, assessing performance and employee relations, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Not All-Inclusive)

• Monitors quality and productivity of warehouse/transportation operation

• Ensure all departmental policies/procedures are followed.

• Develops continuous improvement programs and uses principles of Kaizen

• Ensure team compliance with company, client, and government policies and regulations

• Continue to enhance knowledge of job-related operations. • Must be able to work and communicate effectively with vendors and other departments

• Must monitor equipment and initiate proper maintenance.

• Develop tools to facilitate operations as necessary

• Establish and modify procedures and workflows • Manpower, attendance, and absenteeism management

• Actively engaged in positive employee relations

• Ensure compliance with OSHA and any other guidelines/regulations.

• Report daily reporting to management and customers

• Perform other duties as needed.
