Assistant Plant Manager

SUMMARY
As an Assistant Plant Manager, you will work under the direction of Plant Managers, to assist in the completion of various repairs/projects. Your primary responsibilities will include performing physical tasks such as shoveling, lifting, carrying, and operating hand and power tools. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all plant operations; coordinate and monitor daily workload throughout the plant; monitor plant cleanliness.
- Ensure that all products meet 100% total quality requirements; ensure all equipment is working properly; complete all required reports timely and accurately; inform proper personnel of any quality problems that need resolving.
- Responsible for holding safety meetings; Must ensure that all company safety regulations and policies are followed.
- Supervision of drivers and the ability to manage multiple deliveries.
- Concrete batch plant (Start Up / Shut Down)
- Time management, Accurate record keeping
- Must perform plant inspections
- Preventative maintenance of concrete batch plant
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Perform physical labor tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning up debris and waste.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or plant managers.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 60 pounds or more).
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in construction or a related field but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks in a variety of weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills
