Alen Construction Group, Inc. is looking for a Construction Project Assistant to join our team. This person will work directly with members of our construction project team as well as with our job-site team. Must be able to work in-house and out on the job sites.

The primary duties for a Construction Project Assistant will be:

  • Assisting with Estimating & PM's effort from bidding to project closeouts
  • Maintaining a current set of drawing
  • Update schedules
  • Track permits & other required documents
  • Issuing & Tracking of RFI's, Submittals, Material Orders, PCO's, & CO's
  • Maintain & manage project file organization on server.
  • Ability to perform Take-off’s.
  • Ability to prepare Scope Sheets

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Moderate to Advance writing skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and being able to identify the people, tools, and time required to meet tight deadlines & achieve desired results.
  • Strong organizational & problem solving
  • Self-starter attitude with ability to work with little direction.
  • Strong computer skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, On Screen Takeoff, & Primavera
  • Ability to read & comprehend complex documents, construction documents, and blueprints.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related construction field.
  • 2- 5 years of related experience in the construction field
  • General Contraction experience in government construction is a Plus.
  • Available to work during day or night shift is a Plus
