Alen Construction Group, Inc. is looking for a Construction Project Assistant to join our team. This person will work directly with members of our construction project team as well as with our job-site team. Must be able to work in-house and out on the job sites.
The primary duties for a Construction Project Assistant will be:
- Assisting with Estimating & PM's effort from bidding to project closeouts
- Maintaining a current set of drawing
- Update schedules
- Track permits & other required documents
- Issuing & Tracking of RFI's, Submittals, Material Orders, PCO's, & CO's
- Maintain & manage project file organization on server.
- Ability to perform Take-off’s.
- Ability to prepare Scope Sheets
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills
- Moderate to Advance writing skills
- Ability to be resourceful and being able to identify the people, tools, and time required to meet tight deadlines & achieve desired results.
- Strong organizational & problem solving
- Self-starter attitude with ability to work with little direction.
- Strong computer skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, On Screen Takeoff, & Primavera
- Ability to read & comprehend complex documents, construction documents, and blueprints.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related construction field.
- 2- 5 years of related experience in the construction field
- General Contraction experience in government construction is a Plus.
- Available to work during day or night shift is a Plus
