Assistant Project Manager

Location: UK-wide (Predominantly Site-Based with Travel)

Salary: £45,000 (DoE)

The Role

• Assist the project manager in delivering projects efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards
• Establish and maintain clear communication channels with project stakeholders
• Monitor project milestones, short-term programmes, and key interdependencies
• Support commercial management, including cash flow, payment milestones, and change control
• Assist with procurement processes and ensure commercial agreements align with project goals
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including CDM regulations
• Monitor and improve digital reporting processes to keep project data up to date
• Maintain high standards for quality assurance across all project phases
• Support project debriefs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

Requirements

• Previous experience in construction project management
• Strong understanding of project milestones, risk management, and commercial performance
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Proficiency in digital reporting tools and project monitoring systems
• Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to continuous improvement
• Ability to work on-site and travel as required

Desirables

• Experience in off-site or modular construction
• Familiarity with BIM and digital construction technologies
• Understanding of contractual and commercial agreements
