Residential construction experience: 5 years (Required)
Job Description: We are looking for an experienced APM with a strength to join our customer’s team for some of their upcoming construction projects in South Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the managing the project(s) from ground up construction to punch-list, coordinating subcontractors, and communicating with clients, architects, and design professionals. Some of the roles include for ongoing buildings.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, assist in the creation of benchmarks for success and deliverables (including managing budgets) and partaking in the facilitation of the planning of work assignments that meet deadlines requirements while considering changes in budget or scope during the execution of the contract.
Responsibilities:
Project analysis and creation/completion of project scopes of work
Assist and facilitate to procure and award subcontractor supplier contracts
Manage subcontractor invoices and additional costs/change orders
Ensure project documents and permit documents are up-to-date and in compliance with regulations
Assist in Preparing change proposals and negotiate change orders
Assisting the Project Manager (PM) with all aspects of the project, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
Collaborating with the PM to develop project plans and timelines, and ensuring that they are executed effectively.
Coordinating with project stakeholders, including subcontractors, vendors, and clients, to ensure that project objectives are met.
Monitoring project progress and providing regular updates to the PM and other stakeholders.
Assisting with the procurement of materials, equipment, and services needed for the project.
Reviewing and analyzing project data, such as budgets, schedules, and resource usage, to identify potential issues and develop solutions.
Participating in project meetings and providing input on key decisions.
Assisting with project documentation, such as change orders, submittals, and RFIs (Requests for Information).
Ensuring that all project activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
Providing support to the PM as needed to ensure successful project completion.
Requirements:
5 years of verifiable experience as a residential construction PE/APM on similar projects
Good knowledge and understanding of construction and associated trades
Proficiency with ProCore
Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings
Knowledge of local and state building codes and regulations
Strong leadership, management, and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and office equipment
Understanding of customer service and ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations
Ability to plan, organize, and efficiently manage time
