Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Repairs & Maintenance\n£25K - £40K + Package \nLondon / Hybrid\nFull-Time, Permanent Position\n\nWe are recruiting for a leading multi-disciplinary property and asset management consultancy, operating in the property services and housing sector. Having enjoyed amazing levels of growth, they are currently looking to recruit Assistant Quantity Surveyors to join their team in London.\n\nWe looking to speak to Assistant Quantity Surveyors with experience of working in Repairs & Maintenance for Housing Associations & Local Authorities.\n\nNHF schedule of rates experience is essential for this role. \n\nAll roles are based Hybrid so a combination of client office 2 - 3 days per week with home working.\n\nAs the Assistant Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:\n\nReviewing and assessing the works submitted through the application for payment process, helping to ensure the commercial mechanism is appropriately applied\nDrafting of the required notices in accordance with the contract conditions\nPreparing applications for payment in accordance with the contract conditions\nAssist in the preparation of monthly reports on the cost, progress, and performance where required \nSupport in the resolution of disputes, queries, or claims that may arise between the clients, contractors, and suppliers\nSupport in the monitoring and control of costs and budgets of projects, helping to ensure that they are completed within the agreed time and quality standards\nAssist in the review, design, implementation and adherence to robust commercial processes, templates, timetables, and commercial control mechanisms to ensure commercial assurances\nAssist in the negotiation and agreement of contracts, prices, and variations with clients, contractors, and/or subcontractors\nAssist in the preparation and review of tender documents, bills of quantities, and commercial mechanisms for various work streams and projects\nAssist the commercial team and function to ensure all deadlines are met and adhered to.Desirable Assistant Quantity Surveyor Experience:\n\nRelevant Qualifications - Degree/HNC in Commercial Management / Quantity Surveying\nExperience with Reactive/ Planned/Cyclical Maintenance contracts/ cost models\nKnowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI, specifically Power Query, M Query and Dax\nSchedule of Rates (SoR) experience\nKnowledge of TAC/ TPC, NEC & JCT ContractsYou will be working for a modern, forward-thinking business; that believes the strengths, skills, and personalities of its people are the key to the group's success.
