Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a diligent Quantity Surveyor (QS) with a solid background in the property/FM industry, specifically within the construction department, to join an established team in the Midlands.

Description



Managing costs on a wide variety of new building projects and structures.

Ensuring that the construction project is completed within its projected budget.

Advising on property taxes, regulations, and local laws.

Seeking to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while achieving the required standards and quality.

Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.

Communicating effectively with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.

Monitoring changes in design, construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly.

Procuring and managing subcontractors and materials.Profile



A successful 'QS' should have:



A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction field.

Sound knowledge of construction.

Excellent numeracy and financial management skills.

Understanding of the property market and its regulations.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work well within a team and independently.Job Offer



A competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.
