Job Advertisement: Graduate/Assistant Quantity Surveyor- Construction



Location: Somerset, UK



Salary: £30,000-£35,000



Key Responsibilities



* Assist in the preparation and analysis of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.



* Support senior quantity surveyors in managing contracts and project finances.



* Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.



* Help in the preparation of tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.



* Perform cost control and cost reporting during the construction phase.



* Assist in the negotiation of contracts and procurement of materials and services.



* Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project success.



* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to project costs and progress.



Requirements



* A recent graduate with a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.



* Strong analytical and numerical skills.



* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



* Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.



* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.



* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).



* A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.



* Must reside within one hour and 30 minutes' commute to Somerset
