Description :Assistant Resident Engineer (Road & Infrastructure)Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra region, UAE Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Resident Engineer for Infrastructure, roads and landscaping project to join our team! In this role you will get to assist the Resident Engineer in administering the operational functions of the day-to-day activities on the project with respect to assigned works.What You'll Be Doing:Performs well-defined field engineering assignments primarily involving constructability reviews and the observation of work in progressMaintains first-level quality assurance to confirm that the installation of all work within his/her discipline is in accordance with the plans, specifications, and industry standardsAssists construction personnel with general technical detailsProvides resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline; coordinates application of solutionsReviews and interprets discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution of the workEstablishes and maintains liaison with the discipline design engineering staffMonitors discipline construction schedules and assists in progress appraisalProvides schedule and progress appraisal data to the Resident EngineerMonitors material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned disciplineEnsures that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures.Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employeesEnsures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standardsMaintains a daily log for permanent record of project construction, as well as discipline data for the final project turnover and report.Maintains construction technical catalogs, supplier data, and other literature pertaining to the projectReview Contractor’s submissions.Supervise site inspection staffPrepare progress reportPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriateWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:University BSc Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 12 years engineering experience and, depending on the assignment, a minimum of 8 years’ experience in the specific infrastructure and road works.Demonstrable experience in all aspects of supervision on major road and general infrastructure projects preferably in Abu Dubai.Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.Requires a working knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as industry practices.Must be registered as practicing engineer in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi or should have UAE equivalency certificate. Minimum Clearance Required to Start:Not Applicable/NoneParsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
