This leading M&E D&B Contractor is seeking an Associate Electrical Design Engineer to lead and manage its expanding electrical design team. This role presents an opportunity to join a market-leading M&E contractor, working on high-profile projects across the commercial office and data centre sectors.



The Opportunity:

* Leadership Role - The design department currently consists of 16 professionals, with plans to expand to 20 this year. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and developing the electrical team.

* Prestigious Projects - They specialise in cutting-edge commercial office developments, including some of London's most high-profile projects, as well as large-scale data centre projects across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

The Associate Electrical Design Engineer will:

* Lead and manage the electrical design team, ensuring technical excellence and innovation.

* Oversee the design and delivery of major commercial office and data centre projects.

* Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure the seamless execution of projects.

* Play a pivotal role in recruiting, mentoring, and developing the team to uphold high standards of design.

* Be primarily based in the London office (5 days per week), with 2 days per month working from home.



Candidate Requirements

* Extensive experience in electrical design for major commercial and/or data centre projects.

Proven leadership skills, with a history of managing and developing teams.

Strong knowledge of design software and industry regulations.

* Ability to manage multiple projects while liaising effectively with key stakeholders.

* This is a critical leadership position within a growing company, offering the chance to work on some of the most prestigious projects in the industry.
