Associate Staff Engineer, Data Science

Job Description REQUIREMENTS:Experience: 5+yrsStrong working experience in data science and Data visualization and strategy, with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions in predictive modeling and optimization.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R. Experience with data manipulation libraries (., Pandas, NumPy).Strong understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, with experience applying them to real-world problems.Expertise in machine learning algorithms and frameworks (., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).Familiarity with mathematical optimization techniques (., linear programming, integer programming, genetic algorithms, ant colony optimization, reinforcement learning).Knowledge of Generative AI, interfacing ML models with LLMs, and experience with RAG. Proficiency with frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, and evaluation methods for RAG and Prompt Engineering.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.RESPONSIBILITIES:Writing and reviewing great quality codeUnderstanding functional requirements thoroughly and analysing the client’s needs in the context of the projectEnvisioning the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements, and being able to define technologies, patterns, and frameworks to realize it.Determining and implementing design methodologies and tool setsEnabling application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities.Being able to lead/support UAT and production roll outs.Creating, understanding, and validating WBS and estimated effort for given module/task, and being able to justify it.Addressing issues promptly, responding positively to setbacks and challenges with a mindset of continuous improvementGiving constructive feedback to the team members and setting clear expectations.Helping the team in troubleshooting and resolving of complex bugsComing up with solutions to any issue that is raised during code/design review and being able to justify the decision taken.Carrying out POCs to make sure that suggested design/technologies meet the requirements.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
