The Opportunity

I’m recruiting on behalf of a privately owned civil and structural engineering consultancy based near Watford, with a growing team of 35. They are looking for a Senior or Associate Structural Engineer to join their industrial and data centre team, delivering complex and high-profile projects in this exciting sector.

The Role

As a key member of the team, you will:

• Lead engineering designs for industrial and data centre projects, ensuring they align with client requirements.
• Review and guide junior staff on design solutions, ensuring technical excellence.
• Take a lead role in the technical delivery of projects, including managing timelines and budgets.
• Be a key point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth communication and project success.
• Work alongside the Director on project management, including finances, compliance, and health and safety.
• Attend and lead client and project meetings.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Senior Engineers or Associates looking to step up to Director-level responsibilities within the industrial and data centre sector.

About You

To be successful, you’ll bring:

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered status (or actively working towards MIStructE/MICE).
• Proven technical expertise and experience in consultancy.
• Experience with industrial and/or data centre projects.
• Strong client-facing and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
