Associate Structural Engineer

Associate Structural Engineer

Vertical Recruitment is working closely with a global multidisciplinary consultancy to find a skilled Senior Lead Structural Engineer or Associate Structural Engineer to join their growing and talented civil and structural engineering team in Manchester.

This opportunity is for a single position – the appointment level (Senior Lead or Associate) will be determined based on experience and suitability.

As a Senior Lead, you will be responsible for the delivery of complex building structure designs, supporting and managing an engineering team to deliver outstanding results.

At Associate level, you will take a leadership role in both technical delivery and team development, managing the design process from concept to completion, ensuring compliance, safety, and quality throughout.

The practice’s aspiration is to create inspiring buildings where engineering ideas shape the design, rather than simply supporting an architectural vision. The aim is to develop sustainable structures that minimise environmental impact while maximising client value. You will work on a diverse range of projects across sectors such as healthcare, education, retail, and workplace environments.

We are seeking a passionate and talented Senior Lead or Associate Structural Engineer who excels in collaborative, multi-disciplinary environments and has excellent technical, design, and software skills.

You will be a Chartered Engineer with significant experience delivering innovative structural designs across a range of building sectors. Ideally, your background will include experience within a leading design consultancy.

Key skills and experience required include:

* Strong technical ability and proficiency with structural analysis software. (Experience with Tekla Structures, TEDDS, STAAD.Pro, and Etabs would be an advantage.)

* Knowledge and experience working within a BIM environment; familiarity with Revit is beneficial.

* Self-organisation, strong communication skills, and a passion for both structural engineering and high-quality building design.

* An interest in working within motivated, design-led teams alongside architects and other disciplines.

* You will contribute to the development and coordination of the engineering team.

* You will also support wider business growth: leading projects, building client relationships, seeking new opportunities, and helping to develop the team across the North region.

Benefits include:

* Competitive salary

* Flexible pension allowance

* Private medical insurance

* Contributions towards professional subscriptions

* A dynamic, collaborative working environment within a highly respected multidisciplinary setting.

* And perks package
