Associate Structural Engineer - Mining and Petrochemical
Job Description A very well sought-after engineering consultancy firm is urgently on the lookout for an associate-level Structural Engineer with mining and petrochemical experience.The successful candidate needs: Relevant Civil & Structural Engineering Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with at least 15-20 years of post-graduate experience, 5-10 of which post-registrationPost Graduate Degree will be advantageous, professionally registered with ECSA is mandatoryAt least 5-10 years of experience managing design teams & working with clientsProven business development experience, design & project leading experienceExperience working in a multidisciplinary environment is a mustA solid background in the design of petrochemical & mining structuresSound knowledge in the use of a variety of structural analysis softwareTechnical - AdvantageousMust understand structural modelling software (e.g., Prokon, Strant7, SAFE and possibly Space Gas or the like)Proven knowledge and experience of the relevant engineering codes, standards, and practicesSeismic design experience (preferred)Proven mining project execution experience, Strong wining work, client facing capability and experienceConfident, well-spoken, self-starter, disciplined, detail and deadline / delivery orientated.Excellent communication skills (proven ability to interact well with personnel at all organizational levels)If you fit the above description, please send a copy of your CV to engineering.jobs@mspstaffing.co.za or call Stella/Hannah/Tyla/Roxanne on 021 555 0432 or email us: engineering.jobs@staffingprojects.co.za
