The rate at which were seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. We are here to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations.Role Accountabilities Surveying: Undertake site surveys to determine the outputs required for the installation of electrical vehicle charging, in line with regulations and ACOP. Design: Undertaking electrical design throughout all stages of the design lifecycle for all areas of Electric Vehicle charging including working with other renewable technologies (solar and battery power). This includes evaluating a range of data and survey outputs for customer design proposals, parameters and manuals to identify design and application feasibility Installation Assurance: Ability to visit live sites to ensure all installations meeting the required standards and quality metrics Subject matter expert: Support wider team with attending client meetings (for pursuits and during delivery) Adherence to industry standards: Ensuring all designs are formulated in line with industry standards and manufacturer specifications. Work in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design. Qualifications & Experience Demonstrable experience as Electrical Design Engineer BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline Working towards or achieved Chartered or Incorporate Engineer professional status, or equivalent 20+ years experience in the design of EV charging stations is preferable. Be knowledgeable and at the forefront of understanding design standards in relation to Electric Vehicle Charging. Experience working with DNO's and understanding the connection requirements in relation to distribution and grid code is essential. In depth knowledge of current UK wiring regulations, British Standards, ENA Standards and International Standards where relevant to electrical installations Ability to work autonomously to achieve deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with a multi-discipline team. Pro-active attitude to overcome project and delivery related challenges. Passionate about continuous improvement, process efficiency and collaboration.
