Puro Accountancy are delighted to be working with a reputable accounting firm, who provide a range of accounting and financial advisory services to businesses in the Stoke-on-Trent area. They are currently seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join their team and help to deliver high-quality audit services to their clients.

Responsibilities:

\n
• Manage a portfolio of audit clients, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements

\n

• Plan and execute audit engagements, including leading audit teams and reviewing audit work papers and reports

\n

• Communicate with clients to understand their business operations and identify areas for improvement

\n

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing them with timely and accurate advice

\n

• Identify opportunities for cross-selling other services offered by the firm

\n

• Assist with business development activities, including preparing proposals and attending client meetings

\n

• Coach and mentor junior team members, providing them with feedback and guidance to help them develop their skills

\n

Requirements:

\n
• ACA or ACCA qualified, with at least 5 years' experience in audit practice

\n

• Experience managing audit engagements from planning to completion

\n

• Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, as well as auditing standards and regulations

\n

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members

\n

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex audit issues

\n

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

\n

• Experience in coaching and mentoring junior team members
