You’ll undertake key aspects of technology assurance fieldwork and supervise the audit engagement team, supporting them through coaching to help them fulfil see their potential

What you'll do



As an Audit Manager within our Payments & Fraud Technology audit team, you’ll play a key part in providing independent assurance over the technology control environment on key bank-wide applications that facilitate payment processing, wholesale cash management and fraud prevention



You’ll be an ambassador for internal audit, demonstrating professional behaviours and helping to build on the reputation and integrity of the function.



Your role will also involve:



Providing high quality, efficient and effective assurance and influencing business areas to improve controls



Leading and coaching your audit team as they deliver audit engagements and making sure they're delivered within budget and on time



Leveraging audit methodology and tools



Managing key stakeholders throughout audit engagements and business insight activities, ensuring a good understanding of business risks and an open and effective discussion on key risk



The skills you'll need



To succeed in this role, you’ll have experience in technology audit, assurance or risk management and worked within an internal or external audit environment. You'll need a strong background in assessing technology risks and controls such as IT General and Application Controls.



As well as this, you'll have experience in reviewing applications and supporting infrastructure, change and transformation programmes and payment scheme certifications (BACS, CHAPS, Faster Payments).



You’ll also need:



Knowledge of payment regulations, cloud-based technologies and cyber security best practices



Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills and the ability to assess and prioritise data effectively



The ability to identifying and executing on assurance activities through the use of Data Analytics.



The ability to demonstrate leading a team in delivering projects while keeping a firm hand on budget, schedule, and quality



A proactive approach towards identifying and promoting talent



The ability to support and supervise a team through coaching, feedback, and development



Proven stakeholder management skills and collaboration skills



Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate concepts in a clear and concise way
