You will have day to day responsibility for overseeing delivery, leading our contracting and teaming discussions, and mentoring and supporting the development of discipline leads across the region.The Opportunity In your role as Australasian Water Business Engineering Leader you will lead, direct and challenge design teams to deliver technically robust, sustainable, integrated solutions that align with the delivery of the project’s objectives for budget, schedule, quality, and an increasing range of additional objectives.As a recognized project leader in the industry, you will possess a comprehensive understanding of the detailed design process and have recognised experience in delivering multi-disciplinary major urban water projects. Your background will include experience with various procurement types, such as working directly for end clients, contractors, and asset owners.In your role as a key member of the project leadership team, you will ensure the successful delivery of complex, multidisciplinary water and wastewater projects. This includes coordinating design teams across multiple offices and disciplines to deliver design packages that meet contract requirements, are on schedule, within budget, and of the highest technical quality.You will manage project risks and work with team members and partners to resolve any escalated issues. Additionally, you will ensure the commercial success of projects, leveraging your experience in negotiating and managing various contractual arrangements, including Alliance contracts and Design and Construct contracts.Furthermore, you will support Business Development and Team Leadership activities within the Australasian water business. Is this role right for you? Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline.Chartered membership of a relevant institution, or equivalent professional body.Thorough appreciation of and extensive experience working across the value chain of strategically and commercially important water and wastewater infrastructure investments; from planning to design, construction and commissioning.Experience in detailed design risk management and facilitating the mitigation of projects risks with the wider project team and delivery partners.Experience in implementing best practice design processes, standards, and workflows.Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines.
