Automation & Control Engineer; Milwaukee, WI

Job Responsibilities:

• Respond timely to all customer inquiries, which include requests for quotes, product information, and technical support.
• Work closely with Engineering, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, and our manufacturing representatives to assist in growing and retaining customer business.
• Assist the Business Development Specialists with our Northern Illinois customer base.
• Develop and maintain relationships with assigned suppliers.
• Apply product knowledge appropriately by suggesting application solutions.
• Provide Gold Medal customer service to internal and external customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is desired.
• Experience in industrial automation products including PLCs, AC Drives, Motion, Sensing, and HMIs is .
• Experience in distribution or working knowledge of industrial automation and controls is .
• Must possess the desire to learn the industrial automation business with a leading wholesale electrical distributor.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates within the organization.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and personal transportation for customer visits.
