Automation Controls Sales Engineer

The position is primarily responsible for generating sales from Company's existing and new customers by adapting the Company's automation control products into various applications. The Sales Application Engineer provides engineering assistance to help customers develop new machines/controls/processes and improve existing machines/processes/controls.

The Sales Application Engineer exercises discretion and independent judgment regarding the engineering specifications required for a given product application, based on advanced engineering and product knowledge. He or she is responsible for understanding customers' automation control system and recommending the appropriate Company product depending upon the need. This involves hundreds of products as well as a very wide variety of automation control systems in a wide variety of manufacturing plants all over the world.

In addition, the Sales Application Engineer collects data and samples for the Company's "next " automation development; verifies industry and market standards or developments; and makes recommendations for clarification or changes in the Company's automation control designs, quality or production processes.

The Sales application engineer also manages all aspects of business in the accounts assigned to the person including discounts, terms of sale, new applications and business growth.

Minimum Pre-Requisites:

1. Minimum of 3 years of Sales Experience selling automation control products such as Human Machine Interfaces and/or Programmable Logic Controllers.

2. Strong technical knowledge base of automation controls applications.

3. Strong Closing Skills over the phone and/or thru a virtual meeting.

4. Degrees (not required): Associates and/or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering,
Computer Science, and/or Information Systems and Technology.
