
Automation Engineer
A reputable Systems Integrator located northwest of Chicago is seeking an Automation Engineer with interest in providing quality solutions to clients in a variety of industries, including Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, and more! Responsibilities: Responsive/proactive support of customer needs and issues; including translation of solutions into functional requirementsDevelop ControlLogix programs and FTView applicationsDevelopment of architectures and designs for industrial process control systemsDevelop project estimatesProject execution, including design development, configuration, and commissioningProblem-solving, including the identification of risks and mitigation strategies through prototyping and testingTraining & knowledge development/sharing Required: BS in an Engineering discipline (Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical preferred)Experience with Studio 5000, interpret, debug, and create Ladder Logic, Sequential Function Charts, Phase Logic, and Function Block DiagramsAble to read and understand P&ID and electrical schematicsCustomer engagement and management skillsStrong interpersonal skillsExceptional verbal and written communication skillsSelf-starter, with the ability for independent work as requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office productsGeneral IT and troubleshooting skills (Windows, Networks, Software & Hardware)Ability/Willingness to travel approximately 20% Nice-to-haves: Two+ years of Technical Application Development experiencePharmaceutical or Chemical industry experienceProficiency with ControlLogix programmingFamiliarity with FTBatch or GE Digital iBatchExperience with the entire stack of GE Proficy, Rockwell Automation, Inductive Automation, or Sepasoft developmentExperience with Parsec Automation developmentProficiency with AutoCADExperience with Java, Python, Visual Basic, C#, MS SQL, and Operating Systems
