Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a market-leading business specialising in developing and integrating digital transformation solutions to recruit an Automation Engineer to join their site in Sheffield.\n\nThe Automation Engineer will work in a team to design, build, test and implement industrial control systems (both hardware and software), utilising Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs, HMIs and SCADA. \n\nOur client is looking for an Automation Engineer with experience in a structured project delivery lifecycle and Proficient in the of formal technical documentation for the full life cycle of projects\n\nDuties of the Automation Engineer include:\n\nDesign, development, programming and testing of mission-critical innovative solutions \nWork as a key team member resolving hardware and software challenges \nDesign and configuration of cyber-secure infrastructure and communications between solution components \nDevelop a thorough understanding of operational procedures and ensure compliance with both internal and external standards\nAssembly supervision and electrical testing of solution hardware \nInstallation and commissioning of solutions on customer sites\nProvide support and mentoring for more junior engineers\nWe are keen to speak to Automation Engineer with the following skills and experience \n\nElectrical & Electronic or Electrical or Software Engineering degree \nFive or more years experience of in control system project delivery\nBasic understanding of electrical system drawings, including GA’s, Wiring Schematics and Termination Diagrams\nGood fundamental electrical knowledge and ability to understand/interpret system drawings\nSound grasp of general IT/OT Technologies and development methodologies\nKnowledge of Windows Operating System configuration and lockdown.\nKnowledge of network switch and firewall configuration and network management packages\nExperience with Siemens range of PLCs/HMIs / DCS / Drives\nApply now or for a confidential discussion about this Automation Engineer role, please contact Nicole Lloyd
