Automation Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are currently offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as an Automation Engineer. This is a 2 year, maximum-term, full-time opportunity based at our Head Office in Clayton and will involve occasional local and interstate travel.Please note: You need to be an Australian citizen, or hold Australian work rights, to apply for this role.Position responsibilities will include:Designing, Commissioning and Deploying automation solutionsTraining, guiding, and supporting Bosch automation engineers in the use of automation systemsDeveloping Software Requirement Specifications for automation solutionsDeveloping automation software for PLC/HMI/SCADA/DRIVES and NETWORKS in timely fashionCommissioning automation software for PLC/HMI/SCADA/DRIVES and NETWORKS in timely fashionDeploying automation software for PLC/HMI/SCADA/DRIVES and NETWORKS at the customer siteCollaborating with other engineering teams including Mechanical, Electrical & RoboticsCommissioning Allen Bradley Studio 5000 and Siemens TIA Portal and othersInvolvement in customer support servicesQualificationsWe are looking for a conscientious professional with the ability to work across multiple business units, manage diverse topics and priorities, establish effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.To be considered for this position you are required to meet the following criteria:Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (preferably Mechatronics, Electrical, or Computing).Sound industrial automation experienceExperience with Allen Bradley & Siemens PLCs and automation devices is highly desirableStrong background in software development and commissioning for PLC / SCADA / HMI / Drives & Networks is essential.Experience with Siemens & Rockwell PLCsExcellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skillsEffective time management and organisational skillsAttention to detail.Ability to explain complex processes clearly.Capability to train and lead others.Additional InformationWe recognise that our employees are our greatest asset.
