Automation Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description:Identify opportunities to improve system reliability in the area of responsibility.Create and update PM plans for automation system and factory OT servers/network.Conduct breakdown summary, root cause analysis and execute preventive actions to prevent repeated breakdowns.Own automation technical documents to ensure sufficient information is being transferred from project team and keep the documents up-to-date with suitable revision control.Own automation software backup, revision control, and change log.Supervise and coordinate with suppliers/contractors during project execution in collaboration with other departments.Modify PLC/SCADA/MES software as requested for any minor changes in the process includes bug fixing.Maintain and configure factory digital dashboard.Work closely with the IT team to ensure that the OT and IT systems are integrated and functioning properly.Ensure that factory cyber security program to comply with Mars global requirements.Ensure that the OT assets are maintained and serviced properly. Regularly perform network monitoring and administrative tasks on the factory OT network.Provide training and support to end-users for all OT systems and applications, automation and process control.Qualification:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering,Automation Engineering or a related field.More than 2 years of experiences in PLC/SCADA/MES programming for process control.Basic understanding of electrical, process control and machine control.Basic skills on configurating and maintaining IT servers and other network devices.Understanding of protocols or interfaces of SAP, MES, Web Service, and SCADA.Basic knowledge of programming in Java and familiarity with database and SQL is a plus.Knowledge of OEE dashboard and energy monitoring system is a plus.Be flexible to work extended hours and on weekends as needed to handle production or high-priority issues.Strong communication skills in English.Mars is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
