Responsible for helping ensure product quality, through the planning and execution of: 1) product testing, and/or 2) process/product standards compliance. This person may have direct involvement in manual and automated test efforts or in developing and managing compliance to standards for process or product quality.Essential Functions Creates automated test cases and scriptsProduces or collects all required metrics, reports, and audits for relevant work products according to processCreates & maintains test cases or scripts and seeks to continuously improve product coverageExecutes all assigned automated testing according to the schedule and productivity targetsEscalates concerns about project/product/process quality in clear, timely, collaborative, constructive wayAssists project manager in identifying data or metrics to maintain and to analyze and report againstLeads root cause analysis identification and resolutionAssists with change management and communicate the plans and results effectively to drive changeEvaluates processes and products against applicable company and industry standards, and proceduresPerforms peer review, code review and sign-off of others workGuide teams to improve code structure, testability, and maintainability; advance our testing cultureMentor new and developing teammates in test automation. Train and educate development teams in test automationDesign and implement integration mechanisms for new and existing test suites in our continuous integration systemCollaborate with Operations teams to investigate production issues and perform root cause analysesLead test automation and test architecture initiatives cross-functionally Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)4-7 years relevant work experience (Preferred)ISTQB, CSTE (Preferred)Up to 20% travel may be required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experienced in an Agile environmentAdvanced in at least one programming language (a plus for C#)Motivated by helping engineering teams succeed. You have implemented systems that make the working lives of those around you more productiveDesigned solutions for complex testing that have improved test development velocity, test reliability, test execution, or test observabilityAdvanced at building, testing, and debugging web/backend applications and have a portfolio of examples that demonstrates this expertiseFamiliar with networking protocols and standards. You can test an API just as well as a UI.Able to architect simple continuous integration systems. You have designed and implemented development and test environments that enable test driven developmentWrite test code like production code. You follow and advance standards for documentation and coding. You hold yourself and others accountable.Deep understanding of networking as it pertains to web application development and debuggingWrite readable, extensible, maintainable, and testable code whether it’s a simple test or an automation framework in a shared library.A strong communicator.
